Botanical Gardens- Canadian Geese
The Beauty of Our Fauna
Last weekend, I posted photographs of my visit to Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. I shared pictures of the Cherry Blossoms and the landscape. You can read about it here.
When I arrived at Meadowlark, I realized I had forgotten the adapter for my 150–600 mm Sigma lens. I was upset because I could not take any pictures of Blue Jays, Bald Eagles, and other birds around the area.
I decided to focus my attention on some cute Canadian geese. It is nesting season; they are more territorial than usual. I kept a safe distance, but they were close enough to get some decent shots. I also found ways to get closer without bothering them, or so I thought.
Close Encounter
Two geese got into a spat. One of them swam away. I crouched to get a better shot of the one that stayed on land. I don’t know when the female returned. Suddenly, she was to my left — hiding behind the leaves, stalking me like the velociraptor in the first Jurassic Park movie. Do you know which scene I am talking about?
